Springfield, IL  (CAPITOL CITY NOW) – American rapper and entertainment icon Snoop Dogg will take the stage at the Illinois State Fair Grandstand on Aug. 13. The performance will showcase the artist’s diverse career, spanning nearly three decades.

Illinois Department of Agriculture Director Jerry Costello expressed excitement about bringing Snoop Dogg back to Springfield, noting the rapper’s strong appeal and high-energy performances. “We know from past experience that he is a crowd favorite with incredibly energy,” Costello said.

Snoop Dogg, known for hit songs like “Gin & Juice” and “Drop it Like it’s Hot,” continues to influence various industries, from music to cannabis, tech, and consumer brands. His latest album, Missionary, adds to his catalog of work.

Tickets go on sale Saturday at 10 a.m. through Ticketmaster. Prices range from $85 to $165, with an optional $30 pre-show party ticket available. The 2025 Illinois State Fair will run from Aug. 7 to Aug. 17 in Springfield.
