Springfield, IL (CAPITOL CITY NOW) – A Springfield man allegedly had child pornography in his possession and is now in jail.
Illinois State Police says Justin Shull, 26, was arrested Wednesday and charged with ten counts of Possession of Child Pornography, all Class 2 felonies.
Investigators started looking into Shull last September, and a search of his home this week turned up what they called “child sexual abuse material.”
“During the investigation, ISP investigators assigned to the Office of the Illinois Attorney General Internet Crimes against Children Task Force (ICAC) gathered digital evidence indicating Shull possessed child sexual abuse material at his residence in Springfield,” said an ISP news release.
Shull is in the Sangamon County Jail. It’s not known when he will next be in court, based on online court records.
