Springfield, IL (CAPITOL CITY NOW) – A 23-year-old Springfield man was arrested Monday afternoon in connection with the shooting death of Camren White of Taylorville. White was shot in the 800 block of West Lenox on April 7.
With an active arrest warrant from Sangamon County State’s Attorney John Milhiser, Justin Pickrell was arrested for first degree murder and possession of a weapon by a felon.
Around 3:40 p.m. Monday, Pickrell was apprehended by the U.S. Marshals Service Great Lakes Regional Fugitive Task Force after a traffic crash near Seventh Street and South Grand Avenue, according to Sangamon County Sheriff Paula Crouch. He was transported to a Springfield hospital due to an injury sustained in the crash.
