Springfield, IL (CAPITOL CITY NOW) – A 57-year-old Springfield man is dead after a crash Wednesday night in the 2500 block of South MacArthur Blvd. Sangamon County Coroner Jim Allmon said Jake L. Woods’ vehicle left the roadway and crashed. He was declared dead at the scene. Autopsy results indicate Woods died from multiple blunt force injuries sustained in the crash.
