Springfield, ILĀ (CAPITOL CITY NOW) – A 40-year-old Springfield man was sentenced Monday to just over 11 years in prison for the distribution of methamphetamine. Isaiah Robinson, according to evidence, sold over 15 grams of fentanyl and more than 110 grams of meth to a confidential source in 2021. He also admitted to selling heroin. Agents located over 300 grams of heroin at his residence that same year.
U.S. District Court Judge Sue E. Myerscough found Robinson to be a career offender with prior convictions for robbery and drug dealing. The court determined, based on his spotty employment history, the sale of illicit substances is how Robinson supported himself.
Robinson was indicted in October 2021 and pleaded guilty in February of this year. He has been in the custody of the U.S. Marshals Service since his first court appearance in September 2021.
