Auburn, IL (CAPITOL CITY NOW) – Springfield Plastics, Inc., a leading tile drainage manufacturer, is pleased to announce that Jennifer Furkin has been named president of Springfield Plastics, stepping into the role that Steve Baker held for nearly 30 years. Furkin has been on the Springfield Plastics team for 25 years, most recently serving as vice president.
“I’m honored to step into this role at a company so deeply committed to growth—not just in agriculture and commercial industries but also in our people and the communities we serve,” Furkin said. “Springfield Plastics’ focus on quality, service, and strong relationships is what makes it such an incredible place to work, and I’m excited to help lead us into the future.”
The change in leadership was approved at a recent shareholder meeting and is effective immediately. Springfield Plastics is currently undergoing tremendous growth with the recent completion of a plant expansion at their headquarters in Auburn, Illinois, and a soon-to-be-opened drainage tile yard in North Manchester, Indiana.
“I’m proud to pass the leadership of Springfield Plastics to Jennifer,” said Steve Baker. “This company began with a few simple principles: a commitment to manufacturing the best product on the market, delivering exceptional customer service, and staying dedicated to our employees and the communities we serve. I know Jennifer will carry these values forward as she leads the company into its next chapter.”
