Springfield, IL (CAPITOL CITY NOW) – A Springfield resident was arrested Tuesday for allegedly having drugs, a gun, and money in their possession.
According to a release from Springfield Police, Lindsay Seward, 41, was arrested on charges of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, and possession of a weapon by a convicted felon.
Springfield Police’s Pro-Active Crime Unit, the release says, arrested Seward. An arrest warrant was obtained for Seward’s home, and investigators discovered 854 grams of alleged methamphetamine, a revolver, and “a large sum of US currency.
While Seward is said to be in the Sangamon County Jail, jail records do not list anyone by that name. Online court records are not yet available.
Springfield Police say they conducted the search with the Illinois State Police-Central Illinois Enforcement Group, and the Drug Enforcement Administration.
