SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (CAPITOL CITY NOW) – A Springfield-based company known for its work in plumbing, roofing, HVAC, and other areas has acquired a Decatur-based company also dealing in HVAC work.
According to a news release, Henson Robinson Company has acquired assets of Clow Controls and Service, Inc. While a price was not disclosed, Henson Robinson says all five employees of Clow Controls, including founder Dan Clow, are now a part of Henson Robinson, but will remain based at 910 S. Airport Road in Decatur.
“This is an exciting milestone for both organizations,” said Joe Kulek, president and CFO of Henson Robinson Company, in the news release. “Clow Controls and Service has earned an outstanding reputation for technical expertise, customer service, and long-standing relationships throughout Central Illinois. By bringing Annette, Dan and the Clow team into the Henson Robinson family, we are strengthening our building automation capabilities while continuing to invest in the people, communities, and customer relationships that have fueled our success for more than 160 years.”
Officials from both Clow and Henson Robinson describe the transition as seamless, as well as bringing together two well-respected companies.
“For our family, the most important consideration was finding a company that shares our commitment to taking care of customers and employees,” said Annette Clow, that company’s president, in the news release. “Henson Robinson has built a reputation for quality, integrity, and long-term relationships throughout Central Illinois. We are excited to see Clow Controls join a team that values those same principles and will continue building on the relationships we’ve developed over the years as well as expanding resources for our customers.”
Henson Robinson is described as an employee-owned business, which has been in operation for more than 160 years.
