(CAPITOL CITY NOW) – A volunteer assistant soccer coach with the Taylorville School District, arrested for misconduct involving a minor, has been granted pre-trial release.
Taylorville CUSD released a letter Thursday announcing the arrest. School Superintendent Brandi Bruley told our news partners at WAND-TV that 22-year-old Karla Collado was not employed by the district and was immediately removed from her volunteer position.
Collado is charged with grooming—luring a child to commit a sex offense.
She has been ordered to wear an ankle monitor and is prohibited from having any contact with the victim.
The Taylorville Police Department said it had been investigating Collado for a couple of months. Officers arrested her during a traffic stop Wednesday after looking for her for several days.
