Springfield, IL (CAPITOL CITY NOW) – The Illinois Symphony Orchestra is launching a new initiative called “Beyond the Stage,” offering concert experiences in unconventional venues, ranging from factories and mansions to yoga studios. The first of these performances will take place on September 14 at the old Pillsbury factory in Springfield, Illinois.
This event will feature the ISO’s percussion ensemble and piano trio, performing amidst spray-painted murals and the weathered industrial ambiance of the factory, creating an immersive and unexpected artistic experience. The event will also include food and drinks, with proceeds supporting the ISO. The inaugural Beyond the Stage event, co-hosted by Moving Pillsbury Forward, will blend music, art, and atmosphere.
Gates will open at 6:00 PM with the performance beginning at 7:00 PM. Advance tickets are available at ilsymphony.org/Pillsbury. Single tickets are $40 per person prior to the event and $50 per person at the gate (cards Only).
