Springfield, IL (CAPITOL CITY NOW) – The University of Illinois Springfield men’s and women’s tennis teams have been recognized with academic honors from the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) for the 2024-25 academic year.

Both programs earned ITA All-Academic Team status. The women’s team posted an impressive 3.89 GPA, while the men’s team recorded a 3.64 GPA. To qualify for the award, teams must have a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher.

Twelve Prairie Stars were also named ITA Scholar-Athletes, a distinction awarded to eligible student-athletes who achieved a GPA of at least 3.5 during the academic year.
