Springfield, IL (CAPITOL CITY NOW) – A Springfield woman is wanted after she didn’t show up for trial Monday on charges of concealing the death of an elderly neighbor.

Court records indicate a warrant has been issued for Gena English-Wheat, 59.  She was arrested in late-February after Lillie Prindle, 86, was found in a chair in her home on Salem Road last November, in what Sangamon County Coroner Jim Allmon said was an “advanced state of decomposition.”  It’s believed Prindle could have been dead at least three years.

English-Wheat had been released from custody after her arrest.

Also according to court records, in April, a Sangamon County judge approved video recording of the trial under an “Extended Media Coverage” request, but denied photography and audio recording.
