Springfield, IL (CAPITOL CITY NOW) – The Springfield Lucky Horseshoes say they have been waiting since they took to the field the first time for repairs and major infrastructure work to be done to Robin Roberts Stadium, which is owned and operated by the Springfield Park District. And, with a league all star game coming up, Shoes Chief Storyteller Jamie Toole say they’re still waiting, almost to the point of being completely ignored.
WTAX has invited Park District officials to join the Morning Newswatch to discuss the matter from their side further, but we have not received a response. In the meantime, Toole joined the program to tell their side of the story.
NOTE: The next Springfield Park Board‘s next regularly-scheduled meeting is July 9.
