The Illinois Vietnam Veterans Memorial 35th 24 hr. vigil is May 6 & 7th Oakridge Cemetery

Joey McLaughlin talks with Jim Mathes, the Illinois Vietnam Veterans Memorial Vigil Chairman about the 35th annual 24 hr. vigil May 6 &7th at the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Oakridge Cemetery.  This year there will be a replica of the “Tomb of the Unknown Soldier “ along with a former Tomb Guard to participate in our ceremonies. And they are attempting a record of the most people to create a continuous Circle of Honor around the most memorials at one time to include World War I, World War II, Korean and the Vietnam Memorials.
