Corey Dickerson is teaming up with Smarjesse Taylor to bring what he calls “modern soul food with a classy touch” to downtown. Aunt Lou’s Soul Food will occupy the lower level of 524 E. Monroe, which has been vacant since Vele relocated to the west side two years ago.

Scooter’s Coffee will have a grand opening for the Clear Lake Ave location on Friday, January 13. All drinks will be half off with the mobile app.

Bungee by Dené Fitness opens Jan. 14 and will hold an open house Friday, Jan. 13, from 2-8 p.m. “People can get more comfortable and find out what it’s all about,” said owner Dené Romanotto, who is bringing a new fitness concept to Springfield.

Reverie Apparel is closing its brick-and-mortar location, but the business will continue to operate in a different form, said owner Patrick Russell.
