Springfield, IL  (CAPITOL CITY NOW) – The City of Springfield is accepting resumes for the Ward 1 alderperson position. The vacancy was announced Monday. Interested candidates are encouraged to send their résumé and cover letter to feedback@springfield.il.us. Submissions will be reviewed on a rolling basis and must be received by 4:30 p.m. on Jan. 21.

Ward 1 Ald. Chuck Redpath was elected city clerk last Tuesday. Redpath replaces Frank Lesko, who was elected Sangamon County recorder in November.
