Springfield, IL (CAPITOL CITY NOW) – Abraham Lincoln Capital Airport was evacuated Wednesday morning after a suspicious item was identified during the passenger screening process. A technical response team was dispatched to the terminal to investigate.

Executive Director Mark Hanna said no threat was identified. The terminal was reopened, and the airport returned to normal operations.
