AngusSpringfield, IL  (CAPITOL CITY NOW) – Meet Angus the Friends of Sangamon County Animal Control Dog of the Week. Angus needs a home with the right type of family so he can thrive.

Angus is a one-year-old Australian Cattle Dog. This breed is known for intelligence and loyalty. Australian Cattle Dogs are working dogs with a high energy level, and they need physical activity and mental stimulation every day. They are herding dogs and have a tendency to herd small children.

Angus is a really good boy, and he’ll be an awesome dog in the right home. If you are an active person who is willing to put in the time to work with an intelligent, active dog Angus could be the dog for you. Please come to meet him Monday-Friday 10:30-4:15 and Saturday 9:00-1:00.
