Edinburg, IL (CAPITOL CITY NOW) – Illinois State Police say a Christian County man is behind bars after he allegedly was caught with child pornography.

Troopers say William Wanless, 44, of Edinburg. faces felony charges of Possession of Child Pornography with Intent to Disseminate.  One is a Class 1 felony, while two of those are Class-X felonies.

Investigators say they started looking into Wanless in March, gathering digital evidence they say indicated he had what they called child sex abuse material.

A search of Wanless’ home last Thursday was conducted and troopers say he was arrested.

Wanless is at the Christian County Jail awaiting court hearings.
