Springfield’s public school district is on the government’s naughty list.

The U.S. Department of Education’s Office of Civil Rights maintains a list of schools being investigated for complaints of discrimination. District 186 learned Monday it’s on the list. A statement from the school district says the complaint – from the last school year – was filed by a parent on behalf of their child. The statement goes on to say the district does not discriminate.
