Springfield, IL (CAPITOL CITY NOW) The Sangamon County Department of Public Health is offering flu vaccines starting September 23, at their main Springfield location at 2833 South Grand Avenue East.

Hours for the walk-in clinics are:

  •  Mondays: 8:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
  • Tuesdays: 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
  • Wednesdays: 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
  • Thursdays: 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
  • Fridays: 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

 Everyone six months and older is recommended to get an annual flu shot. The typical flu season is from October to May.

Accepted insurances include Medicare Part B, Medicaid, Blue Cross, Aetna, Humana, Cigna, Molina, Meridian, United Healthcare and Healt Alliance.
