The Rev. Martin Luther King’s life and enduring legacy were commemorated with events at the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum on Monday.

Actor Reggie Guyton was on hand to once again give his rendition of King’s I HAVE A DREAM SPEECH, first delivered on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial in 1963.

Executive Director of ALPLM, Christina Shutt, says the speech evokes the 16th president several times in its text.

A string quintet was on hand to perform selected works composed for the museum’s HERE I HAVE LIVED exhibit.
