Springfield, IL (CAPITOL CITY NOW) – The Illinois Lottery is urging players to check their Powerball tickets as the deadline approaches to claim a prize-winning ticket, purchased nearly a year ago in Dolton, Illinois. This ticket is set to expire at the end of this month.

According to the Illinois Lottery, the unclaimed ticket that was purchased for the November 30, 2024 Powerball drawing, is valued at $200,000, and was bought at Citgo gas station, located at 44 E. Sibley Boulevard in Dolton, a suburb just south of Chicago.

The Illinois Lottery is encouraging anyone who bought a Powerball ticket for that drawing to search high and low for this missing ticket, as it only has two weeks left to be claimed.

There are two other unclaimed tickets in question as well. The first of the other two tickets, valued at $100,000, was drawn on March, 12 of this year and the other ticket, also worth $100,000, was drawn on March 19.

The $200,000 ticket set to soon expire was purchased at the Citgo of off East Sibley boulevard and Indiana Avenue in Dolton, IL. The $100,000 ticket drawn March 12 was purchased at a Speedway on Arrowhead Drive in Hampshire, IL and the second $100,000 ticket was purchased at a Shell gas station on South Cicero in Chicago.

The Illinois Lottery has A full list of unclaimed prizes, the ability to claim lottery ticket prizes, and also schedule an in person claim appointment on the lottery’s official website

Winners have one year from the draw date to claim their prizes, so the Illinois Lottery encourages the ticket holders to sign the back of their winning ticket immediately and store it in a safe place until they are ready to claim their prize.

If you purchase a Powerball ticket either online, on the mobile app, or in store, make sure not to lose it or you may miss out on a large lump of cash!

The next Powerball Powerplay drawing is Monday, November 17, and is for $570,000,000.
