(CAPITOL CITY NOW) – The morning after the election, Gov. JB Pritzker (pictured) rolled out an agenda for the new Democrat-led Congress to follow.

“We need an agenda that matches the scale and scope of the damage that’s been inflicted” by the Trump administration, said the governor. While the recommendations are divided into four categories – healthcare and human services; education; growing the economy; and public safety, energy, and infrastructure – you might summarize the whole thing in this Pritzker quote: “Repeal the provisions of H.R. 1; that’s the Big Ugly Bill.”

Pritzker specified restoring the SNAP and Medicaid benefits which have been taken away, restoring tax credits under the Affordable Care Act, and refunding the money “illegal” tariffs have cost taxpayers.

“This isn’t about beating up Donald Trump,” said Pritzker. “It is about doing what’s right for working families.”

Included in Wednesday’s announcement was U.S. Sen. Tammy Duckworth (D-Ill.), who brought her mouth. She said of election night, “Americans sent a very, very clear message: they are sick of Donald Trump’s bullsh*t.”

The agenda is called Fighting for Illinois.
