Springfield, IL (CAPITOL CITY NOW) – Next year’s Springfield-Area Home Builders Association New Home and Remodeling Show will once again be a little earlier.

Todd Rhodes, president of the association, tells the WTAX Morning Newswatch it worked well this year having the show in February instead of April.

“That was vendor-required — they’d like it to be earlier,” said Rhodes.  “It also kind of hits at a better time of year for those who come to the show as well.  We’re excited about it.”

Rhodes says it increased attendance at this year’s show.  So, that means, work has already been done on next year’s show.

“Right now, we’re selling our booth spaces.  Currently, we start in mid-June.  It’s been a month now, and we’re 30 percent sold out,” said Kathy Ridley, Executive Officer.  “We are off to a good start, and we hope to have a sold-out show, February 14 and 15, 2026.

Like this year, next year’s event will be at the Orr Building on the Illinois State Fairgrounds.
